Stephen Guthrie Christian Counseling ServicesStephen Guthrie is the founder and Director of Christian Counseling Services in Charlevoix, Michigan, offering affordable pastoral counseling and Christian healing prayer.

Steve came to full time ministry after a career in nuclear power management with government and public utilities.  He has served in homeless and prison ministries.  Following ordination in 1996, Steve served as an interim and associate pastor, and hospital and police chaplain.  He is trained in conflict resolution through the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center, and has served in the public schools as counselor for at-risk youth through the Americorp program while completing specialized training through the American Assn. of Christian Counselors.  He has a BS in management from Arizona State and a MA from Trinity Seminary, University of Liverpool, in Pastoral Ministry with an emphasis in counseling.  He is accredited as a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor.  Steve has long been actively involved in healing prayer ministry, and has completed training through Francis MacNutt’s Christian Healing Ministries.  Steve works with men, women, families, and kids but his focus is on freeing sexually addicted men from the bondage of internet pornography.

Steve lives at the end of a dirt road on a small lake outside Charlevoix with wife Ann Hazelwood and their daughter Jenna. He teaches regularly at Family of Faith Ministries, Charlevoix. Michigan.

Ann HazelwoodAnn Hazelwood is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan and has an extensive counseling and education background.  Before entering private practice as Hazelwood Counseling Services PC in Charlevoix in 1992 she counseled in a public outpatient center.  She has been Clinical Supervisor at a state rehabilitation facility, Family Counselor for the juvenile courts, and Adolescent Unit Administrator in a psychiatric hospital.  She has worked as a special education teacher, school counselor, and counselor at a youth residential treatment facility.

In private practice, which has a Christian emphasis, she works primarily with women but sees many teenagers, children, and couples dealing with a variety of life issues.  Ann has an extensive background in life coaching. At Christian Counseling Services Ann works with sexually addicted women and wives of sexually addicted men.  Ann has a BS in Special Education from Penn State and a MA in Counseling Psychology from George Mason University.
